In the middle, is that what it's going to be like or that image is going to be in the middle? Because it the middle is going to be as it is, it looks to plain, I would suggest putting a hyperlink tab there so you could enter your own work? Just to fill up some space.

I do really like the whole design though, maybe have a low contrast collage behind the whole design to add more detail?

With the "Fine Art: Landing Page" page text it just looks boring, change the text color "Fine Art:" to red? just too make it stand out more and looks like a main color with the other design in the middle of the page. Don't have it a such as a Florence red have it a low contrast/matte red so it doesn't take over the whole design.

But for the starting point I really like this design so far, good job.
