The only thing I don't get about this is that does the 2nd account need to have a gold membership?

When you unplug the wireless connector from your xbox, it takes a few seconds longer to say "Disconnected from Xbox Live" than the Ethernet Cable.
So you would have to time how long it takes from unplugging it for it to say disconnected in order to do the glitch correctly.

Lots of people have supposedly had success but none have posted clearer instructions.
Specifically regarding whether the second account needs to be an actual different account (gold).

You definitely need a gold account to even sign in.
But then the problem is signing 2 accounts in with the same ID.
I really wish someone could film themselves testing it or atleast confirm/deny it with proof so I dont have to waste my 48 hour..

This is my issue as well.
Can someone please clarify these steps from the photo:
"Put that profile on your xbox": In the tutorial this is referring to the edited profile. Where exactly should we "put" it? Back on the HDD (from the USB thumb drive..)? What should we do with the second profile (the unedited one?) because both copies have the same name and the USB won't allow two files with the same name. How in the world can you tell which is which in the xbox menu? Both are titled the same and use the same avatar.
What is changing the ID all about in the first place? What does this do? If you have two completely "separate" gold accounts, say your original and a new 24-hour, what does changing the ID's do, as suggested in the OP?
