Hey,
Has anyone had the problem of trying to recover an account, but not being able to? I don't mean like, request denied or that you don't know the email on the account. Recently, I sent an email to jagex so they could help me recover my long time RS account, which was scammed from me over a year ago. I explained the situation, and the told me that they had removed the email registered on the account, and gave me a link to where I could go recover it. However, when I put the name of the account I want to recover, it just freezes my whole comp and I need to close the browser. I tried with Firefox & Chrome, and still didn't work. At first I thought it was my computer, but I tried recovering another account that I have and it worked perfectly. Any Ideas about what's going on?
Makes me mad because Jagex took 5 days to respond to my email, and when I finally have the option of recovering, I have to send them another email explaining why it isn't working. They'll probably take another 5 days to respong, and by that time, the other guy will have recovered the account.
Any thoughts?

If the account was scammed from you that long ago, you shouldn't of given him breathing room to add his information onto the account. It would have been more beneficial had you taken action right away instead of waiting a year. I would contact Jagex and ask them for a phone number.

Well, I got ALMOST this same problem.
I noticed that my account was freezed and freezed my internet aswell. My account got Hijacked sometime ago and I contacted JaGex via E-mail and they answered like in 3 days.
Recover was accepted, cause I'm the real of owner of the account.
However, I was thinkin about to make it membership so I can log in to Old school servers, it said my account is frozen and the site also freezed.
I logged into Website, and it said my account is banned. I checked the account status, and noticed that my account is perm banned. Someone who Hijackd my account, made it.
I sent email again to Jagex about that, but they havn't responded yet.

Was able to recover it, luckily. Sent another email to Jagex explaining the situation and they just deleted everything on the account (recoveries, email, etc) and let me recover it. Sadly, I was at least expecting the scammer to have leveled up my stats or something (the account is still the same with nothing more/less.
