What is the purpose of jailbreaking?

Jailbreaking allows you to install third-party applications, tweaks, mods, themes, useful utilities, and other content (called "packages") from Cydia, the jailbreak equivalent of theApp Store on iOS. Jailbreaking essentially allows for you to further customize and enhance your iOS device beyond the limits that Apple imposes.


Jailbreaking is officially declared as legal in the United States, based on an exemption made to the U.S. Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) allowing for modifications of this nature. Nevertheless, by jailbreaking your iOS device you are violating the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA) with Apple, which means that your device's warranty will be void. By restoring your device back to factory default settings using iTunes, however, all traces of jailbreaking will be removed and your warranty will essentially be valid again.


You do not need to be running a newly installed copy of iOS , but it is recommended. Your device's media and settings will not be affected or removed by the jailbreaking process. Backing up your content to iTunes or iCloud, however, is still recommended as a precautionary measure.


Tethered Jailbreak: A Tethered Jailbreak needs to be plugged into your PC or Mac over USB, and you typically need to re-run your Jailbreak utility like redsn0w and choose the boot tethered option to restart your device. You will not lose any data.
Untethered Jailbreak: An Untethered Jailbreak can be rebooted any time, anywhere, without having to connect to your PC. It works just like a non-Jailbroken device.
Semi-Tethered Jailbreak: A semi-tethered jailbreak allows you to start your iDevice without plugging it into your computer, however you will not be able to use your jailbroken addons until you boot from your computer using the jailbreak program.

1. Hold the Power and Home button until the screen goes black and immediately let go of both. If done right the phone should be off.
2. Hold the Home button while plugging in the phone to the computer and keep holding until the iTunes recovery mode comes up on the phone.
3. Restore in iTunes, takes like 5 minutes.
4. Restore from backup to get all your things back.
5. Download the latest version of Evasion and re-jailbreak. This part is important.

Step 1: Download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Step 2: Extract the download onto your desktop and open the evasi0n folder. Right click on the evasi0n.exe file and select Run as administrator. If a User Access Control window pops up, choose yes.

Step 3: Make sure your device passcode is disabled, if you ever set one up. To disable your passcode lock, go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > and choose Turn Passcode Off.

Step 4: Plug in your iDevice to your computer.

Step 5: You should see a message on the tool that it has detected your device, and the Jailbreak button should become clickable.

Step 6: To begin the jailbreak process, click that button and sit back and let the app do its thing.

Step 7: Eventually, youll be asked to tap the evasi0n7 icon on your devices Home screen, which will complete the process.

Step 8: Once the jailbreak process has completed, youll be taken to your Lock screen. From there, you can Slide to unlock your device and where youll find the Cydia icon on your Home screens second page.

And thats all there is to it. The entire process takes around 5 minutes, and your device will reboot a few times. If the process gets stuck at any point, its safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home), and rerun the process.

1. Download the latest version of [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for Mac or Windows and extract p0sixspwn . You may need to run as an administrator on Windows.

2. Connect your device to the computer through the USB port, and launch the application. After a few seconds your device will be detected with it's matching firmware.

3. With your device plugged in and hit the 'Jailbreak' button to begin. If you have not yet disabled your passcode on your device it is advised to do so. Head to Settings > General > Passcode to disable it.

4. p0sixspwn will begin retrieving information from the device to generate jailbreak data. This may take a few minutes.

5. Afterwards the program will change to "Sending intital data" and your device will say "Restore in Progress". This will also take a few minutes. This is normal.

6. The device will reboot, an Apple logo with a loading bar will appear for a brief moment and will continue rebooting.

7. p0sixspwn will proceed to "remounting root", "Sending Cydia packages and untether payload to the device" the device will reboot afterwards.

8. You're done! Your iOS device is running iOS 6 and is now jailbroken with an untethered jailbreak!

Many people have not been seeing their missed notifications from phone calls, to Instagram likes. This is an easy tutoial on how to fix that.
Steps:

1. In Cydia, Download NCAllOnly.
2. In Settings, go to NCAllOnly and toggle the "Show Missed View" and "Show Today View".
3. Now, go back to Settings>Notification Center and scroll down to drag what notifications you want to see at the notification center.

To start out this is for people who like to download ringtones off of the ringtones section and is not showing in the sounds tab in settings app.


Background Info about ToneEnabler: A tweak that allows you to see your ringtones you downloaded from Cydia or Unlimtones in your settings. Reason for tweak is that in IOS 7.x.x apple uses a plist in order to load ringtones in settings instead of simple iterating through the ringtones directory.

What is Flex?

[spoil]Flex is a powerful jailbreak app/tweak that allows you to create your own mini tweaks. Flex allows you to make tweaks that such as getting unlimited tabs in Safari to not sending the typing notification in iMessage.

How Does Flex Work?

Flex works by creating "patches" to apps. First off, it gets the headers from a library that you want (such as ChatKit or UIKit). Then it allows you to choose the return value of the functions. So, for example if the return type is a "BOOL" then you can either choose FALSE or TRUE for it. Then I'm guessing it uses MobileSubstrate to patch it in the running processes.

Limits of Flex

[spoil]Unfortunately, Flex does have many limits. It doesn't allow you to create "full-blown tweaks" such as Zephyr. It doesn't allow you to edit what the function does, only the return value of it. So if you wanted to make a tweak that adds something in the statusbar when you're taking a picture, you can't make it with Flex.

How to Install AppAddict and Download Apps for Free

The latest alternative to Tongbu. Its called AppAddict. Your iOS device must be jailbroken to install this.

1. If you havent already got it, you need to install AppSync. Open Cydia, Tap Manage > Sources > Edit > Add and type in this URL: repo.hackyouriphone.org

2. Select Add Source and Cydia will go ahead and add it.

3. Back in Sources, tap on the new repo and find AppSync choose 7.0+

4. Tap on Respring to go back to your home screen.

5. Open up your web browser and go to app.appaddict.org

6. Use the slider to install and appaddict will be installed onto your iOS device.

7. Back on your Home screen, tap on the app to open it.

1. When you open the app you will find yourself at the Categories section. Swipe right and click on Search

1: Remove the game multitasking

2: Open iFunBox and connect your iDevice to your PC / Mac

3: Click on the tab iFunBox Classic and follow the following path: Raw File System / Var / Mobile / Applications / CSR Racing / Library / Caches / pp

4: Drag the file "user ......" on your desktop ( the ..... are numbers for your user )

5: Open the Hack file and click "csrprofilefix" to open the application
