Im just wondering if any of you guys (as gamers) have an emotional appeal to a certain game because of the who, when, where or why.

For example: I dont play minecraft anymore but today i was about to play it but the music and game itself took me down memory lane to the times when i used to play that game with my sister and it was fun always trying to build the biggest thing without creative mode or anything and other things going at the time. Im not trying to say i was upset but just that weird/unusual sensation you get from the memories the game brings back.

So im wondering if any of you guys have similar stories just games that cause melancholy, if so which game and why.

I guess I see what you're saying, I used to play Skyrim for hours each day, until I got tired of it. Then recently I heard the music somewhere, and I started playing it again.

The song from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time back on the N64 had it when i was a kid and played it non stop and even when growing up Ive gone back to it and later on in the years when new Zelda games come out and i hear the melody of the game on the adverts on TV or something it just brings memories of when i was a kid.

During the winter break i visited my friends familys cabin, and his littler brother had the sly 4 game, so i got to play it. even though its just a singleplayer game it was my favorite game series during my childhood, and it was so much fun ((:

My game would be MW2. So much memories on that game. I still play it and it is one of my most played games. I just can't leave it, haha. Like every time someone mentions it I just get that nostalgic feeling. Lol.

I am like this with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It was my favorite game just over 3 years ago and i would play it every day with some real life friends that i know longer see. I guess the emotional appeal comes out of it being my first online FPS and the main game of my teenage years. I honestly still get pretty nostalgic every once in a while
