I have the same problem and got xfinity installed and it works fine now

The best thing you could do is connect your Xbox through a ethernet cord. You'll get the best connection that way.

Why would you ever not use a wired connection for gaming?
If you're still getting lag spikes during the game even with a wired connection, that has to do with the current internet plan you're paying for.
