I agree and I think there should be laws that hold parents responsible. everyone knows I'm a real gun owner. The world doesnt need anymore people so if you are going to have kids you should be responsible for them as long as you are supporting them. we could close the gun show loophole and register guns like we register handguns in PA if the Democrats agreed to stop wasting time with an assault weapon ban. AWBs are pointless unless you confiscate guns that are already legally owned in the US. That would be unconstitutional and would be a disaster. our government should guarantee to us in writing that a registry will never lead to confiscation or taxes. Like I said in PA we have to register hand guns with the state police its no big deal. This is how you compromise. Trying to force your way onto people never ends well.

I do believe you should hide guns better. But I don't believe they should be held responsible. His actions he should go to prison for it. Now if the parents said, "here son, have the gun as a present for your friends" then sure the parent (sarcasm). But he was in 7th grade so hiding doesn't mean anything, it is all about locking them up, what the parents have to keep the key on them 24/7? What is the point of owning a gun if you can't even feel secure in your own home you never expect your own child to do this. He could have gotten the key from the key chain and got it, hid it under his bed and then brought it to school next day.

Or maybe he was in a gang? We really don't know yet. No motives announced.

Well, I didn't know politics would be included. I'm only saying this because I am more in favor of Democrats than Republicans, yet I am neither. Their is nothing wrong with owning guns even if you had kids, you just have to hide it somewhere where your kid doesn't know, and lock it up, preventing them from getting to it.

I hate seeing a shooting in the news headlines. That teacher made a brave move standing in front of the shooter with a gun pointed at him.

Hopefully the two children injured are able to make a safe recovery.

I don't see how the kid even managed to get off those two rounds before someone did anything.

A shotgun has enough kick to it to knock a 12 year old off his balance.
At least long enough to take it from him.
