I came home from school today and my dog was acting normal barking, going crazy the usual. I decided to take a nap. I woke up and went to go get my dog and when I picked him up he started squealing real loud in pain. To find out where it was I slightly squeezed his feet and I can't tell if something is wrong with his foot exactly but something is causing him extreme pain somewhere on his left leg. He shakes like he's freezing out in the cold every time he hurts it. Could it be a fracture?

Your best bet is to go to a vet. They could probably diagnose it better than we could.
Your dog might have jumped off of something that either fractured/strained his foot, or maybe he is looking for attention. I know my dog (16 years of age) yelps when he gets scared? Maybe he is scared.

What kind of dog do you have? My chocolate lab had terrible allergies and use to bite on her paws and leave wounds or open soars on her pads. I would have to put socks on her feet to get her to stop. Check to see if that is the case.
I would just make the dog lie down right now until you can get a good answer or figure something out!
Hope he/she gets better!

Has he ever had any problems before? Could be arthritis or something like that. And where was he that you had to pick him up?

Check his foot, maybe he stepped on something sharp and it went into his skin where you can't see it.
