You can only communicate with other players on the Xbox One by using the Mic they give you or the Kinect.

They will begin to support 3rd party headsets within the next few months.

they only sell mics not headsets they will be producing an adapter for it soon

Yes, they do have some 3rd party headsets displayed on the Microsoft store online but they are only available for pre-order. You will be able to purchase those headsets on February 14th.

The only headset/mic you can buy right now for the Xbox One is this one.

You're going to buy a PS4 rather than an Xbox One simply because you can't use your 20 pound headset?

It's your choice, it just seems far fetched considering the consoles are 350/450 pound...

Its just another fault added to the list on the xbox one, been thinkin this decision for a while so I think the ps4 wins it for me. If it work for my '20 ppund headset' it didn't really matter as i would invest in another, but as i say just another fault to the list.
