Every time I tell someone this story I get told that I'm crazy or that I was seeing things but that night is burnt into my head perfectly and has been for 8 years now. I was 8 years old and woke up in the middle of the night. I got out of bed and walked to the door I turn left to head down the hall to go to the kitchen so I can get a drink but something stopped me. Walking in front was this ghost. I remember her perfectly. She had long curly hair down to her waist, a night gown that went to her ankles. At the bottom of the gown was a butterfly type design. She was walking away from me so I didn't see her face. I was terrified. I turned around ran to my parents room. Since that day I haven't been able to sleep in the dark. I know this isn't a conspiracy but I thought I would share with you guys! Do you think I was seeing things? I don't.

sounds like a paranormal witness story from syfy show but there is a great quote which explains what i believe
"We are each free to believe what we want and it is my view that the simplest explanation is there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization. There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that, I am extremely grateful."- Stephen W. Hawking
