Okay guys, so this is the situation. I fell for my best friend;cliche, I know. She moved here from California (to Florida) and we didn't start getting close until this year, our senior year. I asked her to prom in a nice cute way and she said yes. I want to take things to a different level and start dating. There's only one problem though. She's still hung up on this ugly guy from Cali. All she ever does is talk about him. I got fed up and told her how I felt. You can see how she responded.

After that I just asked for an opportunity. She said it wouldn't be fair to me because she is either always talking to him or thinking about him. I'm in a hole and don't know what to do. I have other girls that will be more than happy to go out with. Should I wait to see if she comes around? Should I go for someone that would be a lot easier to get? Should I tell her I don't want to go to prom only as friends? Any and all advice is much appreciated.

If you really think that you're in love with this girl, then wait for her, eventually she will come around.

I'll tell you from my own personal experience, the funnest part is getting the girl to like you. Go for her, you'll have so much fun doing it and you won't regret it.

In my eyes girls are very complicated, they never know what they want from a guy. (I know from experience)

If you truly do love her, and she feels the same way. Go for it. You might not get another chance.

It's my senior year, and it's half way over. I can't be single for the rest of high school. What if she doesn't come around until its too late. She's going to UF and I'm going straight to work.
