So just because they dont drive to work and pay taxes they dont deserve rights lol. Lets see im going t take a wild guess and say your 15 years old because thats how you sound. YOU probally dont drive to work let alone even have a permit/license YOU probally dont even have a job either and YOU most likely dont pay taxes either. Even if you did all these things at one point of your life you didnt so therefore your retarded argument is invalid, have a nice day

An animal is defenseless whilst a human isn't.

If you're talking about that whole fish thing, I agree that was stupid.
Although, i'm all for animal rights.

I disagree. Some people have a head full of hair, but they still wear all kinds of hats. Some have hair all over their body, but they still wear clothes. Just because a living thing has hair, doesn't mean it is automatically as warm a it needs to be. People do dress their animals up in some ridiculous things, but they do it to babies, too. Never will understand either of them unless it is for warmth purposes.

When it comes to my respect towards animals and humans, I don't think it is news that I tend to show animals more respect than I do humans. I mean, I'm not PETA, but there is a line between raising and killing animals for food and torturing/killing them for sport or pleasure. Animals also don't destroy the world with wars, toxic materials, and greed. Animals have always been there for me when my family wasn't (not saying I had a bad family, but they were busy.) I have always had either dogs or cats by my side through everything. Humans can hurt you not only physically, but they can hurt you mentally and emotionally, too. In all honesty, I don't know which I would save. I don't mean to put certain forms of life over others, but certain people make that choice for me.

I disagree with this except for the second point. I know that people kill animals for food but humane killing can only go so far. If you get a dog then it's your responsibility to keep it safe, feed it and if you abuse it you don't deserve to own a animal let alone even be on the streets. I love my dog and would never hurt it.

I know my rear-end is going to get hopped for quoting the bible, but I really do not care.

Genesis 1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

I thought this relates to this topic about vegetarian people, and people who give animals ridiculous rights.

EDIT: Do not take this out of context, God did not give us the right to act like psychopaths. Obviously killing animals that are domesticated is wrong. On the other hand, the rest of the animals (Birds, Squirrels, ect) are open game. I would prefer if people would hunt to eat, but I also don't mind hunting for game.

The only thing I hate is when preppy annoying people buy the disabled person animal stuff for their animal even though they aren't disabled so they can bring their dog in a restaurant. I have a giant Lab and I don't bring him in businesses!

But that being said if I ever saw someone hit him, I'd kill them. Simple as that, my dog has saved my life, I would do the same for him any day any time.

At that point I didn't read any further.

JVl wrote I believe in the (humane) killing of animals only for reasons such as a food source for humans, to put a terminally ill animal to rest etc...

And that any cruel acts or deaths imposed upon an animal should be dealt with accordingly, perhaps years behind bars.
I agree with this, the humane killing of animals.

What I don't agree with is killing animals for fun, or for sport. Its just cruel and unnecessary.
