Edit: The_Waddler - WAY I FOUND OUT FOR XBOX :
when u drive the car u want online , when u go to the game store, unplug your ethernet cable / Internet then follow what he does!

EDIT* you can do this with any vehicle as far as i know, and also supercars cant be modified but still work with the glitch

Do this on xbox at the part where u need to sign out all you do is sign out then let it disconnect you to single player then sign back in load up ur single player game and continue on from there

You can bring supercars on I brought at least 4 on in the past half of an hour and you use the tank glitch to get them in your garage
