Hey so I got my elgato game cap yesterday and this thing is a true beast
Anyways, I wanted to know if there was some feature of backwards recording (probably incorrect term)
What I mean is is there anyway that the elgato can constantly record and if I ever want to grab lets say the last 10minutes, i can select something and the vid will be saved

I just dont want to have to record 100% of the time then delete all the useless videos I dont need

Thanks

To do that the Capture card would need some kind of internal memory to store temporary video on, which the El Gato does not.

You'll sadly just have to record and delete as you are doing. I found when I used to record that if you're playing multiplayer that stopping and starting recording after every game made it a lost easier to sort out and didn't have me looking through hours of video.

Just like G Man said stop after every game and I keep my video folder open also and if that game didnt have anything spectacular in it just stop it from processing the video and open up the video folder and just delete that file which if stopped and canceled process right away should only be about 15 second area.
