hello im looking to flash my drive but you cant do system update so if i got another dvd drive and just pluged that one in when ever i issent useing the flash drive is that ok will my flashed drive still be good to use? can you update with a xk3y?

It's not recommended to take updates with a flashed drive, however, many people do anyway. It's at your own risk. Typically, it's suggested that you flash your drive back to stock, take the update, and then reflash your drive.
You can use a second drive to take updates as long as the OSIG matches and your keys match.
