all depends on your rotation , frost tends to be the higher dps its best to check sites like noxxic for dps rankings and such

Stay frost, I think you get fingers or frost at 24? and that hits big, fire is for more advanced players and doesnt do good dps till 70.

I wouldnt say got good players just ones who know the game a bit more and its more tailored for certain styles of play.

frost is general one of the best all rounds though its like Beast mastery for hunters who are new players , frost mages are just a good class no matter when you come in the game and can be called OP no matter what in pvp and PVE etc XD

Level using frost but when you hit 90 spec comes down to personal preference.

Didnt even notice your post before o.o its like it just snuck in there.

And as a solely DAMAGE DEALING class you should care a bit about your DPS/Damage overall as your class is defined by that role, If you were a hybrid class for example a Shaman, priest , Paladin That are usually tied with Damage/Healing on one of thier specs or more then you would expect dps to be a bit lower and not as dependant on your class as its designed to be mainly healing but offer some damage here and there , or decent damage and offer some backup healing aswell while still in that spec if needed. another example is Deathknights,Paladins, Warriors THey can be primarily damage dealing specs but due to how they have stuff like presences you can just step in to a nice back up tank if you main one(s) die and need that extra second or two while someone REsses etc.
