It's your soldering bud. Unsolder the wires and flux and clean all the points make sure there's nothing bridging. Then re solder everything back in.

It wont update via MS / USB with $systemupdate FIles.

Re-do the wiring, clean up the area, re-solder the wires back on, unplug and restart the JRp and Jrunner. I have had this issue before with consoles and the things above fixed it.

i have tried all this..
iv'e even deleted the JRP drives ( uninstalled the device )
Re installed it, still no luck, somethings seriously messed up with this console.

never cam across this with a simple read/write.
my JRP is fine as iv'e just read nand out of my JTAG

This console needs to be RGH'd tonight >.<

Either the southbridge needs reflowed or the wiring still isnt good enough. Check to make sure the wires are in the correct slot and that you have the end that is plugged into the JRP plugged in correctly.

I wish you could take pictures because for all i know your soldering could be crap and that's why you are not getting a good read.

You can still rgh it if it's stuck in a update loop.

Also without pics of your NAND reader wiring we are all just guessing so it's a waste of time.
