I have a character that I modded to level 72 and had just completed True Vault Hunter Mode and went on to Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. However, when I started out I noticed that all the enemies were also level 72 and for some reason my level 72 weapons did almost no damage compared to the amount of health that they had. Does anyone know why this is? Some explanations would be really nice here. Thanks.

Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode is designed to be difficult especially at the OP levels. In UVHM enemies scale with your level and have increased damage reduction and health regeneration.

But the thing is even my shotgun does only a sliver of damage to their health.
I mean I know it's supposed to be difficult but this seems impossible.

You will need to rely heavily on Slag in UVHM.
