ok my nephew bought a Dazzle DVC 170 and someone at his house threw away all of the installation discs before he could run them does anyone know where he can get the software for free?

Hmm...I don't think you NEED that stuff but you may. The only advice I can offer is go to pinnacle studios.com or go to their costumer support system. If you wanna try a quick fix try installing pinnacle studios 12 trial (it is free) and just test to see if it works.
