This is directly from the Majorleague Gaming website check this out! And if you don't believe me heres the link.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Are you happy to have the competitive scene take titanfall or do you think titanfall shouldn't be a competitive game?
Major League Gaming is excited to announce the launch of the Titanfall Arena on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 gaming consoles, as well as the PC!
Titanfall is an upcoming first-person shooter being developed by Respawn Entertainment that gives players control of a pilot and his Titan (a mech-like war machine) in head-to-head battles against others. While the game will only feature online-multiplayer, the 6-vs-6 gameplay will incorporate a number of familiar single-player elements, such as cut-scenes and A.I.-controlled enemies, to help drive a plot.
There will be at least three different classes of Titans, each with a specific set of abilities that set them apart from one another. If a Titan is destroyed or takes too much damage, the pilots can eject and continue to battle on foot until their Titan can be re-deployed. Players will compete in one of three different game modes: Attrition, Hardpoint, and Last Titan Standing. Attrition is your standard Team Deathmatch, while Hardpoint is a territory-based mode. Last Man Standing is a round-based, no-respawn variation of Attrition.
Titanfall promises to provide a fast-paced, one-of-a-kind first person shooter. It is currently undergoing beta testing and is releasing next month. The Titanfall Arena is now live, and users can register and begin the team-building process.
Happy gaming!

Yeah too bad no one can play competitively yet. There are no private matches so MLG is just getting the Titanfall arena set in hope that Respawn releases private matches.

I think the game is already a competitive game? I don't know how much (awesomer) it could really get. I can't wait until the game comes out on March 11th. It's going to be awesome!

I think most games should be competitive but I think that there should be different kind of things for people that want to be competitive and people that want to have fun.

I think it'll definitely get attention, but don't know if it'll be enough to keep it alive. The game is amazing, don't get me wrong, but don't know if it'll be as popular (in a competitive arena) such as call of duty or battlefield. Hopefully it is, but we'll have to see.

Titanfall isn't a competitive game yet; the devs said they would add competitive support if the community was behind it. Right now it's pretty hard to tell wether people want it to be a competitive game or not.

I Completely agree with you man! It'll get attention, but maybe not enough for it to expand like COD has.

I personally think Titanfall should be a competitive game, but for competitive games should only have Pilots and Titans. No NPC like Grunts.
