Is there any cases that would be better than this one for gaming that would be close to the same price as this one and fit all of these parts + an optical drive?

if you could up your budget to about 50 then get the zalman z11 plus its a great case will fit your parts and optical drive

I would get the Coolermaster N200 as its the same money as the Core 1000 and will fit all your parts in perfectly with no added cost to the build.

One more question that's not about the case. Is the power supply good enough for the parts. Graphics card etc.

The XFX Core 550 is a Seasonic S12II, which does not support Haswell's low-power C6 and C7 states, so you will have to leave them disabled. They are not very important for desktops so you're not missing out. 550w is more than enough for this build.
