This is also true if you're on a 48hr code and your XBL time has run out. Yes I actually tried this on a retail.

lol yes you can i dont no what your doing but it works fine for me after doing a recovery i search for a online to save the stats etc find a game instantly you more than likely have a tool open with force host enabled only reason it would do that for you

Idk what your saying... i made lots of brand new accounts and modified the rank/stats and i searched for a online game and instantly joined one to save the stats? (yes the gold was spoofed)

There's a huge controversy on this, obviously. But XBL gold does keep an account from being banned, and may keep the KV from being flagged.
When you use the gold spoof feature and play online, as soon as you get the first report and XBL notices you got reported and you don't have XBL gold and never had it, they will investigate. It basically automatically flags you. It's much more sensible to have gold on an account and changing stats, because if an account has never had gold changes stats on an online game it's kind of suspicious, isn't it?
I've tested it out a couple of times, I made a 3 accounts each on 2 different KVs (both unshared, pulled from a console) and trashed the KVs afterwards. One of them I put 2 day trials on, and the other one I just used the gold spoofing. All three accounts without the actual gold got banned within a week using them online on my retail. The other 3 accounts that had 2-days were fine, the only thing that happened was they were reset on BO2.

well clearly you dont understand how the spoofing works as it does work and the accounts i recover half the time are not gold as people are not stupid enough to do it on there main account i search all the time for games and find then right away thats goes for all games COD / EA / they all work fine for me so it is something your doing on your end

The only game I have noticed it not to work on is Halo 3 Ranked matches.
