So My quesion about LiNK is that do I have to be online Through a service to play on LiNK or is it a network made specifically for RGH/JTAG consoles. That all I need to get on LiNK is active internet connection? Just need some simple answers thanks guys!

Yes, LiNK is a service just for JTAG/RGH's. You just need to be connected to the internet, not a service such as XBLSE or whatever private server you use.
