Kanashimi wrote Scotland will be sorry when they get no support from Britain, I'm Scottish and my whole family think independence is stupid, luckily we live in Britain though.

Oh no! What will we do without the support of the UK! Oh yes I almost forgot, we will be independent.

If the Scots break free life for them will be difficult for the first 20 years or so.
Alot of big business will leave Scotland which in turn will effect alot of peoples jobs
and Scotland will also struggle to get into the E.U which again will effect Scotlands ability to trade with it's neighbours.

And

Scotland is going to have to create it's own currency which won't be worth alot on the world stage.

I think in the long run ( atleast 20 years + ) it could be a really good thing for Scotland and it's people but all those who are old enough to vote for independence need to understand that the impact it has (for this generation) may not be what they are being told it's going to be like by the likes of salmond.

Being half English and half Scottish myself i can understand the views of both sides.

And so does scotland ? Personally i'm voting no for independence. Seems to much of a risk for me. But people saying 'let scotland be independent and see how they do' and shit about Gordan Brown just makes me want to yes. Pure stupid responses. I doubt scotland will become independent and if they do i don't think it'll be the worst thing in the world. And as for England helping us out ? We're in the top in the EU for selling Oil and Mineral water. So we clearly have alot to gain from that.

Load of shite. Scotland don't have to get a currency of their own as it goes down to a parliamentary vote. No, one, individual can make that decision.

Scotland will struggle to get into the EU? Do you not care to expand on the statement? What will make it difficult? I see no reason for Scotland to get into the EU. David Cameron wants to leave the EU so for a Scottish citizen it would make little difference as the union could easily leave the EU anyway.

Also I don't believe that alot of businesses would leave Scotland. The fact that alot of businesses do locate in Scotland is because of the fact that Scotland is more affordable than the likes of English locations and because the Scottish Government would give grants to these businesses to set up factories etc in Scotland.

Here's a wee fact for you; did you know that Scotland's creates a higher GDP per capita than Wales, England and Northern Ireland? Did you know that Scotland has seen an increase in GDP growth and it's GDP per capita? Did you also know that Scotland's unemployment rate has decreased? Scotland has many things to keep the economy healthy. There is the obvious one which is oil. There is Scotland's banking industry which is fairly large and accounts for a large amount of our GDP. We then have a very strong investment industry. It is in fact one of the world's leading for fund management. Finally you have Scotland's huge tourist industry. We are attract people from all round. Tourism has given around. 200,000 jobs to people in Scotland and it accounts for 3% of Scotland's economic output.

Fear is the real enemy to independence. Some people will sit and complain about the fact that they are unsure about this and that. To these people I say 'get off your arse and seek out answers'. Read the white paper first of all and then start looking into any further questions.

You are a prime example of somebody who fears. Don't let the scare mongering English media control your opinion. In your above statement I can see that you know fine well about Scotland's strengths. Tell me, what is it that gives you doubts about Scotland's ability to operate on its own?

Here is a list of reasons why your opinion here means **** all:

1. Your statement is extremely short and has no evidence or reason

2. You clearly have no idea about Scotland

3. You say you are English and therefore will not be voting

4. You use the American dating system which gives me doubts on just how English you actually are.
