Now, Microsoft will tell you that this is a power brick failure/hardware failure. ITS NOT. Most say its an "Overheation" thing as well. It's not.
Problem: You're Xbox Slim will suddenly turn off/on.
Solution: You will need to take apart your 360 slim, (carefully}
- for a tut.
After you get the Slim fully taken apart, (only the top and bottom cover)You'll see the faceplate, BE CAREFUL. The faceplate is connected to a ribbon/Tape sorta thing, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT! RIP THIS OFF!! It's what keeps the touch-sensor functional. If you rip this off YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE IT! *NOTE: AFTER YOU TAKE APART THE XBOX, THE WARRANTY IS NO MORE* Once the faceplate is off, check the wires connected to the power button, make sure the ribbon is clean (the blake tape looking thing) And make sure the wires around the power button is clean as well, after all said and done, and 100% clean, put your console back together and plug it in and play, It'll be perfect.
You see.. during the problem, when your xbox turns itself on/off, your finger will not be able to turn the xbox on or off, the reason could be cause of the dirt or dust on the ribbon/wires of the power button that triggers the automatic shutdown/turn on.
Hopefully this helps! If you need anymore help please feel free to PM me.
