Hi there,

I have a few spare parts from recent upgrades. I would like to use these parts to make a spare computer but I need help to find the other parts that I need for as cheap as possible. I want to spend as little as possible, performance doesn't matter for this machine.

The Spare parts I currently have:

FX 4100 CPU
GT 640 Graphics card
500W PSU
500GB HDD

Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit: I'm in the UK.

What will you be using it for? Internet browsing or something else.

Internet will be the main purpose of the PC

Well, looks like you just need a motherboard that's compatible with your cpu, some ram (maybe just 2gb if all you're doing is internet), and a case.

Optional things:
cd drive

You can look on newegg or slickdeals for a mobo and stuff. Some pretty cheap stuff on there...

2GB! Jeez, never seen someone who has put that before. Don't go to 2 that's just too low and crap.

Um, 2GB would be fine for something as basic as just internet usage. I would recommend 4GB minimum, regardless of what you are doing with your PC but if OP is trying to save money then yes, 2GB would be fine.
