hey guys, i was wondering which processor i should get for my next build. originally, i was going to get an amd fx-8350, but not after what i had heard from a close friend that works for intel. he can get me a 4770k for ~ 173.25$ and the 4930k for ~ 294.03$ (all this is USD). i was thinking about getting the 4930k, since i could get it for so cheap, compared to it's original price but i was leaning more towards the 4770k for the price being cheaper than an 8350. another reason why i was leaning toward this was because i heard that they're going to be discontinuing the 2011 socket soon, but my source didn't supply any information, so i don't know if this is reliable.

uses: use of adobe products (after effects, photoshop, some premiere), cinema 4d, and gaming. on multiple monitors (5760x1200 sometimes, but 3840x1200 most of the time)

gpu: gtx 780 ti [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

monitors: 3x dell u2410f ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

Get the 4770K, 2011 platform is an enthusiast only socket. Get 1150 as it will be around for a couple of years yet.

Although I would go with the 4930K, it is all because I want to, the 4770K however is a lot more practical for everyday needs etc so will be a better choice.
