So im a new player to runescape and my friends recommended i pay the 07 version on the game about 2 months ago. Yesterday i was woodcutting yew trees over by this place called catherby and all of a sudden my account logged out. I thought it was just the server i was on lagging but when i tried to log back in it said my account was disabled. I went on the website and went to account management and i had a thing called bot busting moderate. I honestly have no idea what that even meant. I looked some things up and apparently you can buy bots that do things for you in the oldschool version of runescape. I sent them a ticket about it being a mistake but my friends told me more than likely i would never receive a message back from them regarding my issue. My temp ban goes away today and im scared to even play the game anymore in fear of having my account banned permanently this time. I come on ttg alot for Titanfall and BF4 stuff and i saw this runescape section and figured maybe from Jagex comes here and can help me out or if a regular player knows of anything i can do. Noone helped me in the runescape fourm so i figured id come here instead.

They told me i was botting and i guess that is one of the rules. But i still dont even fully understand what botting even is....

I found this on the internet of what botting is.
In RuneScape, a bot (also known as a macro or auto) is a computer-controlled player used to quickly make money or raise skills. Using bots is not allowed and can be an offence that will ban you. If you know the way to recognize bots, you will be able to report them.

Well i wasnt botting i was just chopping some yew logs and watching Netflix at the same time. Im not even going to play the game anymore cause im scared to even do anything to train my skills up or make any money on the game in fear of being banned, but thanks for the explanation of what botting even is.

i hate to inform you but jagex are a money hungry company, of whom do not care for there players no more, if you bot, you lose everything. if they think you are botting you lose everything.
needless to say if they dont have a support number made public, what makes you think they will look here to help people out.
but i guess its nice to see some people do believe jagex are ok.
something else to think about, rs used to get over 100k+ players online, so the website said, now its highest iv seen it 43k.

ah im uk based but 43k was the highest iv seen personally in a while. but ether way the amount of players has dropped
