just recently my xbox started making a loud buzzing noise kinda. sounds like a fan vibrating. it is sitting on top of my entertainment center and you cant hear it hardly if you put your ear up to it but if you lift it up you can hear it really well. im thinking maybe the fan is going bad?

Don't wait for it to fail! You'll probably get red ring if you do!! Order a replacement off eBay or something and just replace it

yea but...the xbox isnt hot at all. its one of the new jasper chipsets.

i think your dvddrive is loose and it is buzzing around in there, try shaking it aa little

ive tried that. i forgot to mention in the post that i have the game copied to the hard drive.

Hey i can do a fan replacement or a dvd drive replacement for you if u have an xbox 360 pro or elite.

id say if there is a decent air coming out of the back, your probably fine but if you have $10 and know how to take apart an xbox id say go for it

yea i agree. the xbox is only a year old i bought it last christmas. there is decent air coming out. but the jasper chipsets don't get hot at ALL and this xbox still isnt how so i should be alright i guess.
