After news of the teen being arrested in Ohio for comments he made during an online game, a story has surfaced of a gamer who was arrested in October for comments he made on Runescape.
Josh Pillault was an avid gamer, and during an online game of Runescape, he and another gamer began exchanging insults.

The other gamer said that Pillault should go kill himself, and Pillault responded, stating, he would not just kill himself, but he would take out a local high school. Once Josh made a comment on Columbine, the other gamer had gotten what he wanted, and replied Knock Knock.

Knock Knock referring to the feds coming and knocking on Pillaunlts door, which is what happened. Josh has been in prison ever since.

Joshs mother argued:

Josh possessed none of the materials he would need to carry out such an attack, nor was there any good reason to believe he was serious. His doctors have said he wouldnt hurt himself or anyone else, she wrote. We actually have teachers who were willing to testify that they knew it wasnt a true threat as soon as they found out it was Josh. Even his fellow inmates and guards have commented on how they cant believe he is still in there.
Seeing that their were no other options and hoping for an easier sentence, Josh plead guilty to the charges and is facing up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

I wonder why Em hasen't been arrested yet. :trollin:

I think the kid shouldn't have plead guilty as he did nothing wrong, I mean, saying that is not a crime?

I'm going to go shoot up a school, be back in 10.

Knock knock, oh s***.

I think things of this nature need to be looked into more, People are getting arrested for things that common sense could rule out as Sarcasm, yes I understand that there is no way of actually knowing if the person is being sarcastic, but I dont think they should be arrested right away without the case being looked into a bit more.

(My opinion)

I do agree with you Dine, its really getting to far and beyound gaming anymore. Getting arrested for little things over gaming wise..

I say a lot of worse shit. Luckily there are lawyers out there that have a clue. Shouldn't be necessary but it is.
