Am I the only one?

I remember every Saturday or Sunday my dad would take me down to Hollywood Video (Kind of like Blockbuster) and I would get a game, play it for a week, and turn it back in the following Sunday. This kept my game library infinitely fresh and I loved experimenting with new games every week. Now all the rental companies are out of business and Gamefly doesn't seem to be as popular as it once was.

What do you guys think? Did you ever rent games at a store? If so, any "stand-out" games you remember renting?

I remember going to blockbuster every week with my bud and would rent games weekly.
The favorite game of my buds and mine was "Crash Bash" For PS1

The great thing about them was you didn't have to pay for the full price of the game to get the full experience. You could get the game for a week for around $6, play through it, and then turn it in.

Nowadays you buy the game and if you beat it quick or you don't like it, tough luck.

For some reason, my mom wouldn't let me rent the games at BlockBuster.
But I really wanted the Incredible Hulk game.
I remember that day as if it were yesterday

I think the main reason for this is the digital market increasing in size, and people playing games for multiplayer now, not just for the single player mode.
