I'm going to be building a pc soon and i was just wondering if I installed SteamOS just now, would i be able to get Windows 8 in the future without changing any components?
(Im only getting steamOS just now because its free and im just going to spend my budget on the pc itself)

Yea, you'd need to format your HDD/SSD before, but that is all done in Windows installation.

SteamOS is hard to use, so be careful. If you're new to Linux, use Ubuntu or Linux Mint.
