you could always just put the default.xex of Dashlaunch on the root of your USB, plug it in and boot up normaly and
it should instantly launch Dashlaunch and then remove the Plugin

No You cannot. The Plugins are not the same On the usb as they are on the HDD.
He needs to take the HDD Off to boot the console
