but if he went for SLI of the 780 then it is 200 over budget.
Anyway, it is the reference R9 290 that overheats, the MSI version has a different PCB and a far superior cooler.

You can say why not then spend a bit more and get 780 SLI..? :p

760's are dirt cheap right now, around 180/90 - minimum for a 770 would be around 225.

Say you save 95 from going for 760's rather than 770's...The performance really wouldn't be much of an increase - and we all know that the 760 is an incredibly robust performer.

It really is just personal preference, just 760 SLI is popular because of its price point and high performance.
+1 on that comment i agree with that i think the dual 760 will be better

Dont take the 290x they are crap compared to a 780 they overheat to easy 780s are alot better just to let you know your fps will be low because it will be to hot.


With an aftermarket cooler they aren't that bad at all...Please research before you post.
