Here comes the UK people acting like their country is perfect. :stern:

Well, I live in the UK and we've had one school shooting and that led to the banning of guns for everyone, so really guns should just be banned or the people who want to have them, they should have to take a test to see if they're stable. It's got nothing about our country being perfect, it's about we done the right thing at the right time. But back to the post, people have either been unstable or been bullied and craved attention that bad that they'll hurt anybody to do so.

Xbox_One wrote This is something MANY people want to know. Why do psychopaths want to kill innocent people? Sadly, nobody really knows, there are different motives every time a kid threatens or actually commits to shooting a school. It wasn't until Columbine when school shootings became popular. Most of the time, it is for vengeance because someone got bullied and other bad things done to them and it all builds up until they let it out....

I remember columbine shooting. horrific story I think it was down to attention seeking and being bullied until they snap.

Is this spite? Really, if you're going to degrade the country that is your closest ally then have a look at how our country works. You don't hear about gun crime over here because it is rarely heard of. We don't have gun stores like America, all concealed weapons (from a club to a gun etc.) are warrant for arrest. Our country comes down hard on crime, gun crime especially, that is why we have no where near as many deaths as countries whom do allow guns.

Our country is far from perfect, but we've taken steps that suggest we are nearer to it than America.

The UK is much smaller than America, and it also has land borders with no one.
The laws here are much easier to enforce.
America, on the other hand is massive, California is the size of England, and it has two big borders with other countries.
One of which, just happens to be involved in a massive drug war with gang violence being through the roof.

Even if America wanted to ban guns, criminals would still be able to get their hands on them through the black market.

Guns come through black market here, especially with 3d printers making it much easier to get guns as well now. Geographically yeah america is much bigger, the fact their constitution is codified not uncodified again does make it easier to pass laws. However their amendments, which are amended, don't pass too easily due to american patriotism that gives them a sense of self worth. "We need guns to protect ourselves" is the argument, it's like they expect invasion at every corner they turn, too bad its the 21st century and that isn't happening

We in the UK have only ever had one school shooting ,It was at a school in Dumblane.
The difference between the UK and the USA is after Dumblane we banned All hand guns and seriously restricted the sale of shotguns and rifles ,The Americans seem to value the gun over the safety of their own children.

As for the blackmarket argument ,Yeah we have that here in the UK too ,You can pick up a pistol for about three hundred pounds but because nobody in general (even our police) do not have guns the only people who buy guns on the blackmarket are career criminals.

I wasn't talking about you're whole country. Many people in the UK always try to gloat about how much crime we have and act like they've never heard of a shooting before. You at least put it nicely which I can agree with. We allow guns. But if you're going to kill someone, that's illegal anyway. So not allowing guns doesn't work in the first place. I guess it's working for you guys though.
