he just said the console boots but nothing on screen....if it was a xblse plugin issue it would stop at the boot logo..
Anyways try booting xell by powering on the console with the eject button only...if nothing shows up try av cables and not hdmi...still nothing then you probally bricked your console....and or shitty cables

I understand your problem. You have to use the q tip trick. look it up on youtube.
The q tip trick basically over heats your xbox and kinda resets it. But you stick 2 q tips where the fans are wait about 5 minutes and it will over heat. Unplug the power cable and wait another 5 minutes. Give it a few seconds to boot up and it should pop up a message saying something about over heating just push a and your good to go.
Now, if it doesnt turn on after doing the q tip trick, keep trying that untill it turns on.
I have to do this almost every time

DO NOT DO THIS! This is a terrible way to do a "reflow" on a console. If you think it's a RROD/overheating issue then please take it to a local repair person with proper BGA reflow equipment and have a reflow done.

that works as a temporary fix but it is not a good idea to do it like you said
I did it on one of my old xenon jtags and it worked for about a month then it gave me the e79 error I think. Did it once more and my console never turned back on again.
