I went through Manpower to get a job
The lady there got me a job, hours were great as well, but
I didn't work much. When I did work, usually I got 10-12 hours.

About 2 weeks go by, I told her, I appreciate the job and it's great pay with nice hours,
but I'm not working much to get them hours. The way it's going it looks, literally temporary. As in, I want you to help these days, then I don't want you anymore.

She responded, the days you work depends on your work ethic, "Basically telling me I had to talk to someone there and ask for full time," and after your temp is up, then you're permanent. I was midway through my temp time, 30 days is the temporary time.

Today I called, because I haven't heard from her since last Monday or last week, that's when I last worked, so I was like, just calling because I haven't heard from you in a little and wanted to see what's going on.

She responded, I can't send you back there, did you get into with someone or do something wrong when you sent me the text saying, it literally looked like a temp position? Basically blaming me saying I did something wrong, everything was going fine there for me, people liked me, I worked hard as well. I even took over one guys position because he couldn't do it good and fast enough. "Lifting 50 pounds bags, holding them up and cutting them to pour in a machine."

I said no, everything was going fine there for me, everyone there seemed to like me and talk to me too.

She said, well I'm going to call across the road here at this factory and see if they're hiring. "I can't remember the name of it, didn't really hear what she said it was," but that's where "someone that worked at Manpower too, I didn't really understand his name either, his name is blah for now," blah works now. I'll call you right back in a minute.

That was at 2:27, it's 3:54 now.

When I went to work the last time, they put me on something else then what she had planned. She called me before I went to work and asked me if I wanted to stay home and go the next day and do what they put me on. I said I didn't really want to, but I would, because it's a dirty job and I don't have clothes that I don't mind getting dirty right now. She said okay then, that's fine, I was just asking.

She called me at work that day, I told her they put me on something different, the machine I didn't want to work, because it was dirty. She was like how's it going and stuff like that. I told her fine, I'm going to be off soon, it's not a big deal.

Moral of the story I'm saying

Suggestion #1- I think all along she knew it was temp. and I wouldn't be there long, but she told me different because she didn't want me to quit, because it would screw her over.

Suggestion #2- She called them when they had me on something different and freaked out, then they said, screw it we don't want him anymore.

Just an add on to this story

My brother was going through the same Manpower and he was going through the same girl too. He already had a job, but wanted a job closer to home. She gave him a few and he didn't take them. He called back up there and went through a different person that worked at Manpower, he now has an everyday job, still on temp. because you always go through a temp service with Manpower for 30 days, at least.

Due to her lack of doing what she's suppose to do, I'm calling tomorrow and telling them I want Chris to get me a job, instead of her. "Chris is the guy at Manpower that got my brother his job."

Has anyone else had problems going through Manpower?
Or going through whatever else kind of job service you have where you live?
