The motherboard is a MSI Z87-G45-GAMING ATX Motherboard I was looking in to getting 8 fans just wondering if this motherboard will be able to support this?

That motherboard can fit 5 fans on it. 8 fans is a bit overkill, even 5 is overkill for me. I would put in 3 maximum depending on other components your putting in.

8 fans, what are you running? I use 3 fans and my case stays ice cool. Just get fewer but more expensive fans.

Unless you are running a 480mm rad in push/pull config, 8 fans is stoopid

8 fans is a bit much, I use 5. 2 for my CPU cooler, 2 for side panel & 1 for intake. Also the PSU counts as an exhaust fan.

Everyone here is saying 8 fans is overkill but in my personal experience overkill is best. The more fans the better. With 8 fans I think your going to overclock right?? if so more fans = less thermal bottlenecks if you push the CPU hard, plus it also depends on the case if it small with a low number fans heat can become a problem. If the case to to big hot air can collect in the case causing temps to rise, the fix is to add more exhaust fans you can never have to many, always have more or equal numbers of exhaust fans to pull heat out. Thats my take on PC cooling. BTW your Mobo supports 5x fans so you will need some molex to fan header converters, and for the love of jebus never use fan header splitter those are just bad news. Hope I helped with my alternate look on your situation
