Wow, it's been a while since I've been on these forums. But there's drama as always.
To the people saying that he should sell it, used Ones sell for much less than $500, and if his console has as many problems as he claims, he likely couldn't even sell it for half the price that he bought it for. He's also bought games for the console, which he'll also lose money on. Someone shouldn't lose money on a product because of the manufacturer, and it's not as easy to switch when even after selling he might not have the money to do so. At the end of the day, I don't think it's too unreasonable to expect a $500 machine to work, when his obviously doesn't.
Specifically to the OP, if your console has this many problems (and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that it does), call Microsoft instead of whining about it on TTG, which will do absolutely nothing to solve your problems. I bet that if what you're claiming is true, they'll give you a replacement. I've never heard of these issues happening with others all at once, so it's probably a very isolated incident.
