Assuming you take the time to make sure you don't exceed the maximum voltage then all you'll do is blue screen the system a lot and perhaps corrupt the OS worst case scenario.

I think I'll keep the i5 k, but not sure ill overclock, considering it's not a major plus at least that's what I've been hearing.

It's really not worth it to keep the k model and not overclock, like Buxtyy said you could get the 4570 and have a gtx 770 which would perform better than gtx760 and 4670k

The GTX 770 is better than the 760, they are both good cards but the 770 is just that bit better.
