You can just put a normal spinning 1TB HDD in it, but if you're looking to boot up your computer faster along with your games, then an SSD is the way to go. What I would use is a 256GB SSD for OS and games, then a 1TB HDD for all your other files such as music etc. It's well worth the money.

SSD's are useful due to their fast read and write speeds. That means the system would load up and perform system tasks quickly if the OS in on there, and similary with any games on there too.
As they are most expensive $ per GB most people use a 120GB SSD for the OS and programs and perhaps one game like BF4 which benefits from an SSD on map loading. They then put all their games on a HDD.

When i first built my gaming computer, it still felt slugish even the the hardware was brand new & good. It dint feel very fast if im honest until I brought my SSD. It only cost me 50GBP but its the best 50 quid ive ever spent.
Honestly, from being sluggish and feeling slow to being able to boot up & search the internet in 30 seconds I think is amazing.
I use a 250GB mechanical HDD as random storage for games and random big programs like Dreamweaver and the SSD hold my main games including BF4 which as Buxtyy said, the maps load ridiculously fast.
So if you want your computer to feel "complete" get an SSD... as long as you also have decent hardware with it also.
