People take things way to seriously, if someone called me a c*nt/di*khead/Fuc*head or told to fuc* myself things like that I would most likely laugh I honestly don't see how offensive it is :/

The Words are mean't to be offensive, like saying why is punching someone a sign of offensive, it's to express that you hate someone or something they did!

But what about the people that use these words in casual conversation? people find it 'offensive' no matter the context.

I just think swearing is another part of the language dont see a problem with it

"Curse words" are just a noise that comes out of your mouth, just like every other word. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't see the big deal with them (unless they are being used to offend/bring someone down). Simply saying "fok" when messing something up shouldn't be frowned upon in my opinion. That's just a single example.

What you have to remember is most of what is perceived as being acceptable within society was decided apon in the victorian era, So although our dialog has changed dramatically over the last one hundred years or so our core values have not. Which is why alot of our slang is deemed to be in poor taste.
