RGHs are most likely the best.
I have a trinity dual nand, and it boots in about 15 secs and it never ever overheats.

There is literally no difference in updating dashboard on a JTAG as an RGH. They are updated the same way. JTAGs are insta-boot which is beneficial for those with no patience(me, for example). However, an RGH is still fine. Considering, slim consoles are RGH only, a slim RGH would be a good choice as it is next to impossible for them to over-heat.
