So Adam Silver the commissioner of the NBA has just announced that Donald Sterling will be banned for life from the NBA and forced to sell his team along with a 2.5 Million dollar fine.

In my opinion this was the right thing to do! There is no room for racism in the NBA. No room for racism anywhere.

Are you aware of the situation? And are you stupid? How is this the right thing to do???
EVERYBODY, I don't care who you are, has made a racist comment in their life. It doesn't matter which group it was toward, or whether it was serious or a joke, we have all done it. To deny it would simply be telling everyone you are a liar. So they don't want the negativity he has drawn to the league, okay go ahead and ban him. His players would end up refusing to play for him and he would have to sell the team anyway, so just make him sell it now, cool. But a 2.5mil fine??? That is beyond crazy. I have been the victim of far worse acts of racism than someone telling their girlfriend not to associate with me or my race, and do those people deserve a 2.5mil fine? No. This is an example of when a punishment clearly doesn't fit the crime.

No need to flame bro, I agree with it. The fine is harsh no doubt but you have to make an example out of someone right?

Also, you act like he ISN'T Donald Sterling. A MULTI Millionaire (Soon to be) former owner of the Clippers. 2.5 Mil isn't too bad for him.

I'm really happy that they came down hard on him. Racism, as a owner, is just absurd. There is no place in the NBA for scum like him.

Hopefully he will just sell the team straight away because he will be forced to sell it either way. He can't participate in any clippers' activity anymore anyways.

Exactly, Like Nelson Mandela said

"Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire and unite people in a way that little else does."

Then you get people like Donald Sterling saying the things he said. There is NO room for racism in sports.

He's entitled to his opinion and I'm with him on this one, Sure what he said was edgy but if his Gold digger girlfriend didn't record him without his consent this wouldn't be a problem and a 2.5 Million dollar fine is nothing he wipes his tears with that.

For now! But once he loses his team 2.5 million won't be so petty :p

He said less then 5 minutes ago to Fox New's "He will not be forced to sell his team" And also forcing him to sell his team? That's absurd, If Lil' Wayne wants to say the 'N' Word every second sentence in his songs and a majority of the black community is okay with it they should definitely not be up in arms when Donald hints at it.

There is a huge difference between a rapper saying "*****" and the owner of an NBA team saying he doesn't want his girlfriend to bring black people to his game nor post pictures of her with black people.
