I honestly recommend saving your coins and making a cheap team that you will have fun with, but it could include one expensive player if you have that sort of money. For me it seems like big teams lose and the underdogs have the handicap and pull of nice opportunities.

Well, if you go with an expensive squad I suggest that you don't choose the BPL because the players in that league don't bring out the best of themselves.
I'd say BBVA, Ligue 1 or Serie A.
