Hmmmm...I had never actually heard of Ted Talk but after a few minutes of searching, I get the kind of topics you're looking for.

I'd say that your best bet is something having to do with either religion, war, politics or a current-events type story that yields a certain message.

I'm a bit tired atm but maybe doing something on the effects of social media and technology on society and interaction would be something good to talk about and keep people involved in your presentation.

Maybe it's not an out of the box idea, but it's a d*** good fallback

That is a great suggestion but the problem is that the whole class did a report on that same topic two weeks ago.

True but it is for helping out each other. He is not asking you to write the presentation just to help him get a general idea.
