My gpu idles at around 38 degrees and after playing games it stays at around 67 degrees, i never used to have this problem?

What GPU is it? Check to see if there is dust in the fans etc.

The card may be programmed to ease up on the fans as soon as the load from the game ends. You can use MSI Afterburner to manually set a fan curve that will run the fans harder under higher temps.
