Since it is the time of TOTS, scammers will be on the hunt to steal players from unsuspecting players. I have been offered a duplication twice today on Xbox 360, one of whose gamertag is ShoneCosine85. I am making this to make sure nobody is an unfortunate victim of this.
Scammers(Xbox):
-ShoneCosine85
How to know if someone is scamming you:
It can be someone with gold or silver membership but one easy way to tell if it is a scammer is that their membership is silver and have about 10G (from first loading up FUT). They will also have only a few people on their friends list, one of which will be their main account where they send their scammed players, and since they have to friend you to trade players check their current squad because it might look like the one you started with: many bronze players, some silvers, and a few low rated gold players. They will offer to duplicate one of your expensive players with a jtag and modding and torrent bs or something of that sort.
How to deal with scammers:
You have two options:
1) Ignore the scammer
2) Mess with him
How to mess with a scammer:
1) Ask him how duplicating works
2) Tell him you want to make sure he is legit and say you want to do a test run(send him cheap players you can make a profit from quick selling such as valencia, khedira, etc...)
*He will urge you to list your expensive player by saying it will speed things up or something of that sorts. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE LIST YOUR PLAYER ON THE TRANSFER MARKET!!!!
3) He will list a player and tell you the player's details. Trade offer that player with your "test" player and receive his trade offer player (keep it or quick sell it, your choice)
4) He will take a minute or two "duplicating" and then tell you to list up a player
5) List up a player of little or no value to you to host the trade offer.
6) He will trade offer you 2-4 "test" players. Notice how most of the times the chemistry style, fitness, and contracts are different and not the same
7) Accept the trade offer and proceed to message the scammer something that you think is appropriate. I just said to my scammer to piss off and ask why he would think I was idiotic enough to believe his lies.
8) He will either go back into the shadows or reply with saying your loss or that he will report you for scamming him. Do not believe his lies.
9) Now that you have multiple "test" players, quick sell them to make a quick profit of about 1k.
I hope this post helped all of the members of TTG. Be a helpful member by posting scammers on all systems so we can all be aware of them. Have a great day and piss off scammers.
