All of my friends like rap, but I really don't. I prefer the beatles, rolling stones, any old rock is really my genre. I agree with you, but everyone is entitled to what they like and you have to respect that.

Saying you hat a certain genre of music is so ignorant, I like all types of music..

Rap is just a way of people telling stories, sharing emotions and talking about life, I can't stand it when people say that rap is pointless because it's not..The amount of hard work that is put into rap to make us feel the emotions they feel, the tone of voice used and the lyrics used can make a person feel real emotion towards the song.

If you don't like rap that's okay but don't start saying that its the worst genre of all time or it's pointless because rap has changed my life and helped me in rough situations.

It's all about the lyrics. When i'm in a certain mood I can easily sit down and listen to Eminem 2pac ect...

If You Listen To GOOD Rappers ie. 2Pac, Biggie, MGK and Snoop. Then There Is Just A Really Good Message In There Songs That Many People Can Relate To That's The Main Reason IMO But If You Listen To Crap Rappers ie. Lil Wayne And Solja Boy Then There Is No Message In The Lyrics Its All About Women, Cars, Weed and Money.

It's crazy how many people like Metal compared to rap, and meanwhile they haven't even heard a song that's good. "Rock/Metal heads" will listen to something their friend is playing and if they don't like it they come to a conclusion that it sucks.

No offense, I love all music, like rock, alternative, hip hop, etc. But metal is too far, I would never pay $15 bucks to hear a bunch of dudes screaming their asses off talking about killing people, and how lonely they are.

I personally don't enjoy listening to rap, I'm more of a metal head.
I think the only rap I would listen to is Eminem (On a rare occasion), which I'm probably going to get some hate for, but oh well xD
