I have $40. Are there any good PC games that I do not have that are worth buying?

Get stalker lost alpha its free from just search S.T.A.L.K.E.R lost alpha and go on the modsdb page, click the downloads tab and install the 4 parts, they take an hour each to download and you need to install part 1, then 2 , then 3, then 4

but once you get on it its a really good game!

Starbound and Terraria if you are into those types of games. Or the Grand Theft Auto Series.

Minecraft is a good game but its not on steam i dont think.

Portal and Portal 2 are really good games and you can download loads of different levels on PC.

Dayz standalone is pretty good but its in alpha or fallout new vegas thats ilke ten bucks or bioshock infinite its on sale

I played a little bit of Arma 2 today, I could see myself getting into that. Domination is really fun honestly.

Try to pick up Arma 2: Combined Ops for like $3 during a steam sale. Lot's of variety.

The BioShock Bundle is currently on sale on Steam. It includes BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite.

They are mainly single player games but I find them loads of fun.

I've been big into Arma 3 since it has the Breaking Point mod which is like a basic DayZ, and Battle Royale which is like hunger games.
